May Luncheon to support Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha

Date: Wednesday, May 20th

Location: West Village Dining Room at the Villages at Unity.

1471 Long Pond Rd 14626.  Parking assistance will be provided

Cost: $25

Time: Seating and raffle ticket sales at 11:00, meeting at 11:30 and luncheon at Noon

Menu: Choice of Italian Wedding Soup or Vegetarian Vegetable. Pasta salad, meatless.  Three sandwiches: turkey provolone
Cashew chicken salad, Tuna Waldorf.  Cookies for dessert!  Peanut butter, sugar, chocolate chip, cranberry and molasses.

Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha is a 100% volunteer- and donation-based organization that brings birthday joy to children living in poverty by delivering fun treats and necessities on their birthdays. Each child receives approximately $60 in items.  They partner with schools in high-poverty areas and celebrate students’ birthdays in these schools. Most programs serve the Rochester City School District with additional chapters in Utica, Rome, and Buffalo.

 

Carrie Green, Founder/President will present at our May Luncheon about this unique and caring organization.

 

Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha Top Wish List Items:

Eastern Workers Service Association has asked us if we can help with some projects for their 50th Anniversary.

Volunteers would be helping with labeling invitations. The dates below are tentative as they must wait for the printer to print the invitations for the first project.

May 4, 6, and possibly May 11.

Time: 10-1pm

Could use up to 8-10 people

Need 8-10 people to make cards for veterans

Angels of Mercy Dress a Girl

Bring your sewing machine to help make dresses for little girls in the U.S. and around the world. If you don’t sew, you can help by ironing labels, folding dresses, and making stuffed animals.

Blessed Sacrament Church Supper Program

Date: Tuesday, June 30th 5:15pm-7:15 p.m.

Blessed Sacrament Church, 259 Rutgers St., 14607

Need 4-5 volunteers to serve those in need and help with cleanup.  Please bring a hat to wear while volunteering.

 

Sunny Mike Foundation
