March 2026 Lunch to Support the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Organization
Mary Holleran from the organization spoke to us at our March lunch about the amazing work they do to provide beds for kids in our area. To date, they have provided 1,494 beds but currently have a wait list of 300. Pictured are member Terry Mitchell, Mary Holleran, speaker from Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and member Brenda Brunette.

March 2026 Genetaska members participated in the “Make A Meal Program” at the Ronald McDonald House. This was a great way to help families to have the comfort of a home cooked meal when they are miles away from home. The guests are able to sit down as a family and eat together. Preparing the meal together as a group was a great way to also make new friendships within our club.

At our snowy February 2026 lunch, we welcomed Kyle Vosburg from the Center for Youth. She shared with our group all the wonderful work they do for youth in our community.

Thank you to our July 16 luncheon speakers from the Sunny Mike Foundation.
Dr. Debra Lubberts and Beth Bigley presented on this amazing organization. They serve our veteran heroes by connecting them to the services, resources, and people they need to allow them to focus on their well-being and recovery. Thank you also to Terry Mitchell for nominating this organization!It's never too late to donate!Charity’s Wish List:Always needed are new socks and underwear for both men and women.Gift cards to retail stores, home improvement stores and restaurants are also needed.Their upcoming Golf Scramble needs items for their Raffle/Silent Auction, including golf tees, golf balls and picnic items for baskets.An easy way to help veterans is with a check payable to Sunny Mike Foundation.

At our July 2025 meeting we also celebrated some birthdays! We wished happy birthday to Paula Ouriel, Kay Marshman, and Doris Coveno!
